frequently  asked  questions

What types of VW campervans for sale do you have?

At camper_versions, we specialise in high-quality campervan conversions tailored to your needs. Whether you’re looking for a full camper conversion built to one of our expertly chosen packages, or a bespoke design within the options we offer, we provide expertly crafted solutions for a range of vehicles, including VW Transporters and other popular camper models.

Is a VW campervan a good investment?

Yes, so long as it is built by a reputibale company. Buying a campervan is investing in your future holidays for the next 3/4/5 years (however long you intend to keep the camper). They can be used for days out, weekend breaks and full weeks touring country after country – and the value to you is only limited to how often you go out in it. Then when you come to sell it, the cash value can be released. Our customers find when they want to upgrade to a newer model, or when their circumstances change and want to sell the campervan, the depreciation of their campervan can be as little as £1000 per year, yet they’ve had one brilliant trip after another with it. So really that investment in future holidays has cost next to nothing.

What are the finance options available?

Finance is available for any of our campers through our partners Pegasus. Carry out a quick quote here.

What warranty do I get?

All our new conversions come with a 3 years warranty as standard, that covers the whole conversion including appliances. Our new T7 campervans come with a 5 years warranty as standard (still 3 years if the customer supplies the vehicle).

The vehicle will also be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty of up to 3 years (5 years with a T7), depending on when the vehicle was first registered. For example, a VW T6.1 Transporter registered on the 1st of Jan 2025, will have 2 years warranty remaining on the 1st Jan 2026.

If the vehicle is older than 3 years old (5 years with a T7) and out of its original manufacturers warranty period, we cover the mechanical warranty for 1 year from the date of collection from us. Any pre-owned campers also come with 1 years campervan and mechanical warranty as standard. Terms & conditions apply.

Will my campervan be registered as a campervan?

In 2019 the DVLA stopped all vehicles being re-registered as campervans, if they had been converted from a panel van. They also increased the cost for the initial road fund licence for motorhomes from £240 up to £2,135! There is also another tax of £320 per year, on top of the annual road tax for the first 5 years, if the list price of the vehicle is over £40,000. In short, no it won’t be registered as a campervan, but nor would you want it to. Even if it was possible, there will be an increase in road tax, planned for re-registered vehicles very soon. This doesn’t affect using it, or the insurance covering it. When the DVLA stopped re-registering, all major campervan insurance companies changed their policies, to fully cover converted campervans to their true value, providing that the conversion was carried out by a professional, reputable company. So, it matters more than ever that you purchase from a professional campervan conversion company like camper_versions®, otherwise you may end up with something that you are unable to obtain insurance cover for.

Do you have a showroom?

Yes, we have a unique and impressive showroom with our ready to go campervans on display, just call to book an appointment.

What is the process of buying a camperversions campervan?

The first step is to book an appointment to visit our impressive showroom with our excellent sales team. During this visit you’ll discover all the benefits our campervans offer, particularly how our unique products will change your campervan experience.

Can I travel with people in the rear, sat on the rock & roll seat/bed?

All our ready-to-go campervans come with an M1 tested rock & roll seat/bed with seatbelts, and have been fitted to the manufacturer’s guidelines. This means that they are safe for anyone to travel in.

Can I fit a child’s car seat in the rock & roll seat/bed?

Yes, you can fit a child’s car seat, in the same way you would in a car with a seatbelt. We don’t offer an Isofix system, but generally Isofix is just a quicker method of fitting the child’s car seat and isn’t necessarily safer.

Can the poptop bed hold the weight of 2 adults?

Yes, it can. Its load bearing is 200kg, which is over 30 stones. Generally it would be used for children, as the additional poptop roof slopes down, so it does get narrower towards the rear of the campervan.

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

Distance Sale Agreement – Your Right to Cancel

Camperversions Ltd
Pendle St, Blackburn, BB1 1NG | 01254 447404 | sales@camperversions.co.uk

If you decide to purchase one of our campervans over the phone or video call, without seeing it in person, this is known as an “off premises” sale. We want to ensure that you fully understand your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This document outlines your right to cancel your purchase when buying at a distance, as well as the terms and conditions associated with such cancellations.

Your Right to Cancel

You are entitled to cancel the sales contract within 14 days without providing a specific reason. This “cooling-off period” allows you time to reconsider your purchase and, if necessary, exercise your right to cancel under the following conditions:

  • Cancellation Period: The 14-day cancellation period begins the day you, or a third party acting on your behalf, collect or take delivery of the vehicle.

To initiate cancellation, you must inform us of your decision in writing. This notification can be sent via post or email to the contact details provided above.

To ensure your cancellation is valid, your written notice must be sent before the 14-day cancellation period expires.

Effects of Cancellation

When you cancel your contract, the following terms will apply to the handling of payments, vehicle return, and related responsibilities:

  1. Reimbursement of Payments:
    • We will reimburse you for all payments received for the vehicle.
    • Any reimbursement will be subject to the conditions outlined below regarding vehicle handling and deductions for damage, wear, or excessive use.
  2. Deductions for Value Reduction:
    • If the vehicle has been subjected to handling beyond what is necessary to determine its condition, characteristics, or functionality (e.g., excessive driving beyond a standard test drive), we reserve the right to reduce the amount reimbursed.
    • For example, we will deduct £2 per mile driven beyond 15 miles from the reimbursement. Further deductions will apply for damages, excessive wear, or missing components (e.g., keys, documents, or accessories).
  3. Refund Timeline:
    • Your refund will be processed without undue delay and no later than 14 days after:
      • We receive the returned vehicle.
      • All associated documents (e.g. V5 logbook, service records) are returned in good condition.
    • The refund will be issued using the same payment method as the original transaction. No additional fees will be charged for the reimbursement process.
    • If a part-exchange vehicle was provided, we will return it if still available. Otherwise, any negative equity from the part-exchange may need to be settled by you.
  4. Conditions for Refund Withholding:
    • We will withhold reimbursement until both the vehicle and all required paperwork have been returned to us in satisfactory condition.

Your Responsibility for the Return

As the customer, you bear the responsibility for arranging the return of the vehicle under the following terms:

  1. Timely Return:
    • The vehicle must be returned to our premises without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date you notify us of your cancellation.
  2. Costs of Return:
    • You are solely responsible for the cost of returning the vehicle to us. Please note that Camperversions Ltd will not cover any collection or delivery expenses related to the return of the vehicle.
    • All arrangements for transport, insurance, and any associated fees are your responsibility.
  3. Liability Until Return:
    • You remain responsible for the vehicle until it has been safely returned and accepted by us. This includes ensuring that the vehicle is taxed, insured, and free from any fines, penalties, or charges during this period.
  4. Condition of the Vehicle:
    • The vehicle must be returned in its original condition, free from damage, excessive wear, or modifications beyond those discussed at the time of purchase.
    • Any diminishment in value resulting from unnecessary handling or use will be deducted from your refund.

Handling Guidelines

To minimize deductions, you should handle the vehicle with care. You are permitted to test-drive the vehicle, but driving beyond what is necessary for evaluation will be deemed “excessive use.” This includes but is not limited to:

  • Driving the vehicle for purposes unrelated to its evaluation.
  • Failure to return the vehicle with its original mileage, minus an allowance of up to 15 miles.
  • Incurring damages or excessive wear that was not present at the time of delivery.
